aby sweater/cardigan knitting pattern

 

This pattern is for 0 to 6 months babies.

Pattern will start from top to bottom. 

Needle size ie 3.5mm

Yarn is knigcole DK baby knitting yarn.

For the collor/neck band :  Cast-on 72 loops. knit 7 rows of garter stitch, in row 8th we will make button hole(for this watch the video).

After knitting 8 rows of garter stitch, we will increase loops, so we have to divide stitches as per video.

            6 - 9 -2 -7- 2- 20- 2- 7- 2- 9- 6=72

We will increase 1 loops from both sides of 2 loops (as you see in video).

After increasing 16 times.  Total loops are 200.

Now,

We are in frontside: purl all from back and forth.

Now,knit the sleeves first.

The design pattern which I'm using in this cardigan is multple of 12+2 and 16 rows repeat pattern.

Row 7 RS	P5, *yo, ssk, k4, yo, ssk, p4, repeat from * to last 9 sts, yo, ssk, k4, yo, ssk, p1.
Row 9 RS	P4, *k2tog, yo, k4, k2tog, yo, p4, repeat from * to last 10 sts, k2tog, yo, k4, k2tog, yo, p2.P4, *k2tog, yo, k4, k2tog, yo, p4, repeat from * to last 10 sts, k2tog, yo, k4, k2tog, yo, p2.
Row 11 RS	P3, *k2tog, yo, k4, k2tog, yo, p4, repeat from * to last 11 sts, k2tog, yo, k4, k2tog, yo, p3.
Row 13 RS	P2, *k2tog, yo, k4, k2tog, yo, p4, repeat from *.
Row 15 RS	P1, *k2tog, yo, k4, k2tog, yo, p4, repeat from * to last st, p1.
Repeat rows 1-16.
